Comparison of the Immunomodulatory Effect of TCM Formulas Containing Either Astragali Radix or With This Replaced by Hedysari Radix

Hedysari Radix (Hong Qi) is a commonly substituted material with similar functions to Astragali (Huang Qi). However, it still misused as Huang Qi, even though people know they are different species. This study aims find evidence that Hong Qi can replace in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulas used for immunomodulation. Therefore, we evaluated the immunomodulatory effects of both medicines on dendritic cells. The water extract showed more substantial effect cells 500 μg/mL concentration compared same dosage. Furthermore, selected 23 TCM investigate their function when and alternated within formula. Among them, 6 containing demonstrated better than those Qi. other an insignificantly physiological impact from original formulation. based theory our experimental results, replacing formula could be suitable or nourishing required.
